Job summary

Materion Corporation in Alabama invites a motivated engineering co-op student to join a high-growth, global team. You will engage with Process Engineering, Quality and EHS to gain hands-on experience on real projects.

As a current BS in Engineering student (sophomore or higher), you will analyze data, support process improvements and assist on technical documentation while maintaining compliance with ITAR/EAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering program and at minimum sophomore status.
• The co-op student will be required to complete a minimum of 640 work hours from the start date until the end of the term for which co-op credit is requested.
• Must maintain at least a 2.7 GPA.

Responsibilities

• PROCESS ENGINEERING: research and analyze processing defect data and suggest solutions.
• QUALITY: complete independent projects to advance Quality initiatives and review technical documents in an Aerospace QMS.
• ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY: identify hazards and design engineering controls and exposure reduction solutions.
