Job summary

QTS, part of the Cretex Medical family, is seeking an Engineering Co-Op in Bloomington, MN from May 2027 to December 2027. This role works under the Engineering Manager to balance engineering, manufacturing, sales and quality across projects in a cost-effective and timely manner.

You will assist with scope definition through implementation, provide internal customer technical support, and gain hands-on experience in process and design improvements while ensuring ISO and medical device compliance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year degree program for Packaging, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to work with CAD and design software.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with simple electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support
• Part manufacturability technical support
• Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements
• Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed
• Understands customer needs and the core business markets we serve
• Supports and complies with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
• Completes all other work duties as assigned
