Job summary

Mueller Water Products, the nation’s leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening in our Decatur, IL manufacturing plant for an Engineering College Intern. This role will start Summer 2027 and could be available for co-op opportunities as well.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Material Science or Electrical Engineering fields or recently completed such degree.
• Major GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Basic proficiency in ProE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office Standard
• Ability to effectively express thoughts/ideas through written and verbal communication
• Creative problem solving abilities
• Ability to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment

• 3D-Modeling of Shell Cutters and Accessories (within SolidWorks)
• Material and Information Flow: Layout of racking
• Determining Racking Space Requirements
• PVD Boards
• Raw Material Utilization
