Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is offering an Engineering Co-op/Intern program for Spring 2027 (January–May). The program spans multiple departments including Manufacturing, Quality, Facilities, Tooling, Research, Purchasing, and Materials.

It emphasizes hands-on project work, design, testing, and cross-functional collaboration within Honda’s engineering teams. Openings require enrollment in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, 2.5 GPA, Sophomore status or higher, and 10 weeks at 40

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (transcript required).
• Sophomore status by credit hour or higher.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing & operations activities across Assembly, Weld, Paint, Stamping, Casting, and Machining.
• Assist with tooling installation, end-of-arm tooling, mold installation, and robot programming.
• Aid project management, scheduling, and daily process tracking.
• Analyze manufacturing issues and assist root-cause investigations.
• Support design, testing, validation, and documentation of systems.
