Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita invites new graduates to join Engineering Career Accelerated Program (ECAP). The program offers rotational experiences across Structure, Mechanical Systems, Avionics and Electrical Systems, and Flight Test, with six-month core rotations and three-month function rotations.

You'll be coached by experienced engineers, mentored, and exposed to Bombardier Flight Test, Defense and Aftermarket.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or related field) completed in 2025 or will be completed by May 2027.
• Less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience.
• US citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering and project management roles across multiple streams.

As part of this Engineering Career Accelerated Program (ECAP), you will have a chance to participate in engineering and project management roles in a range of functions supporting Bombardier Flight Test, Bombardier Defense and Aftermarket. Subject to your interests and aptitude this will help accelerate your career within Bombardier and determine which path offers you the most potential.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow in one of the following four streams:

Structure

Learn all about the many aspects of aircraft design that set Bombardier ahead of the competition. Apply design, material selection and stress analysis principles to aircraft structures.

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)

• In-service Support

Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions)

• Project Management
• Loads
• Material & Processes

Mechanical Systems

Mechanical systems offer specialties at the core of aircraft flight. Become a key player in aircraft propulsion or an expert in mechanical and powerplant systems.

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)

• Flight Test of Mechanical and/or Propulsion Systems
• Systems Design/Modifications for Defense Missionization
• Methods

Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions)

• Flight Operations
• Instrumentation
• Projects Management
• Powerplant

Avionics and Electrical Systems

Learn all about the cockpit and cabin systems that pilots, cabin crew, and passengers rely on. Build expertise in avionics, wiring, instrumentation, and electrical systems.

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)

• Electrical System
• Instrumentation and Ground Station
• Cabin Systems

Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions)

• Project Management
• Certification
• Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (RM&S)
• Human Factors
• Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS)
• Flight Operations

Flight Test

Gain end-to-end expertise in flight testing, including campaign planning, flight test vehicle and rig development, test execution, data collection, and post-test analysis.

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)

• Flight Operations
• Flight Sciences
• Mechanical Systems
• Instrumentation and Ground Station
• Project Management

Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions)

• Structure
• Methods and Logistics
• Control Laws and Stability & Control

Remark: Definition of each stream rotation is subject to change.

How to thrive in this role?

• Per US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) Requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
• You are able to travel to Canada
• You have less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience.
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or another related field) completed in 2025or will be completed by May 2027.
