Job summary

The Bureau of Reclamation in the United States is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide primary CAD support for the Lower Colorado Dams Office, Davis Dam Division. The role reviews designs for compliance with current industry practices and ensures they fit field conditions, while developing, preparing, and reviewing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects.

Applicants must have relevant experience in CAD and design drafting with knowledge of electronic design

Qualifications

CAD and design review experience.
Ability to review plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Knowledge of electronic/automated design and records management systems.

Responsibilities

Develops, prepares, and/or reviews plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction and/or proposed/ongoing projects.
Reviews designs for compliance with current industry practices and ensures designs fit field conditions.
Utilizes automated engineering drafting and design systems; validates data loaded into design/records management applications.
