Job summary

GD Barri & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Drafting Technician to support development of engineering drawings across electrical, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation disciplines.

You will use CADD and manual drafting to assist design development for facility and plant modifications. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of CADD/technical coursework, plus 1–4 years of relevant design experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with effective interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with PC-based applications in a Windows environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation) using CADD or manual drafting techniques.
• Prepare supporting documentation such as layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, requisitions, and work orders.
• Gather, organize, and analyze engineering data to support design development.
• Perform field investigations and site walk-downs to verify existing conditions and define design requirements.
• Develop and assemble complete design packages for review, approval, and distribution.
