Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience required.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) preferred
• 5+ years of progressive purchasing experience, with proven track record in technical capacity.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Expertise in supply chain optimization and procurement technology for custom make‑to‑print operations.

Responsibilities

• Explain key concepts of the Quality Policy, Quality Goals, and complete requirements from ISO 900. Work with engineering and project teams to understand and communicate technical requirements to suppliers.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and translate them to procurement criteria for suppliers.
• Negotiate to drive cost savings and foster long‑term supplier relationships.
• Project Management: manage multiple procurement projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Problem‑Solving: address supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or changing project requirements.
• Interpersonal Skills: build rapport with diverse teams and suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement within the supply chain.
• Monitor market trends and tech advances for cost savings, risk mitigation, and innovation.
• Collaborate cross departmentally with quality, engineering, and design teams on procurement initiatives.
• Oversee supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance and ethical sourcing.
• Track and report KPIs such as cost savings and supplier performance.
• Some travel to suppliers is required.
• 1 (Quality Management Systems) training.
