  • A Distribution Engineering Associate is an entry-level position in the field of electrical engineering, focused on assisting in the design, planning, and management of electrical distribution systems.

  • These professionals work under the guidance of experienced engineers to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable distribution of electrical power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Distribution System Design: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, plan, and optimize electrical distribution systems. Help create detailed drawings and plans for distribution infrastructure.

  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data related to the distribution network, including load data, system performance data, and asset information. Use data to assist in decision-making. Equipment Selection: Assist in the selection and specification of distribution equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and protective devices, considering voltage levels and load requirements.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that distribution system designs and plans comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry codes. Assist in obtaining regulatory approvals.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of distribution equipment and infrastructure. Update documentation and drawings to reflect changes and upgrades.
