Responsibilities

• Under direction from the Engineering Planning Department (EPD) Senior Civil Engineer, the Engineering Assistant performs the following tasks.
• Compiles data for various asset management functions (Master Plans, pipeline replacement analysis, cost database, conditional assessments, etc.)
• Performs complex data analyses using Microsoft Excel
• Provides research for EPD responses to GSWC/PUC-related data requests
• Updates documents and exhibits (Microsoft Word, GIS)
• Updates, maintains and utilizes GIS-based hydraulic models
• Other routine research and drafting tasks
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works under immediate supervision.

POSITION DEFINITION:

Job Functions

• Under direction from the Engineering Planning Department (EPD) Senior Civil Engineer, the Engineering Assistant performs the following tasks:
• Compiles data for various asset management functions (Master Plans, pipeline replacement analysis, cost database, conditional assessments, etc.)
• Performs complex data analyses using Microsoft Excel
• Provides research for EPD responses to GSWC/PUC-related data requests
• Updates documents and exhibits (Microsoft Word, GIS)
• Updates, maintains and utilizes GIS-based hydraulic models
• Other routine research and drafting tasks
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a course of study in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws.
