Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power, North American headquarters in Denton, Texas, is seeking a Technical Applications Specialist to drive deployment and support of enterprise applications. You will install, configure and maintain software components, collaborate with ITS teams, and ensure documentation and process standards are upheld.

You will troubleshoot installation and operation issues, participate in testing and validation, and support desktop environments including Citrix VDIs, while contributing

• Maintain desktop application documentation and ensure safe work practices.

This position contributes to our vision by:

• Application Implementation:
  • Installs and configures software components for Business applications relying on databases and other technical middleware, and client side counterpart. Handles multiple (non-production and production) application environments
  • Helps in specifying and defining the proper infrastructure requirements for server based applications in new implementations
  • Participates in testing/validation of new products/components or improvements to systems related to the scope of work
  • Collaborates with Application and other ITS teams regarding creation and evolution of documentation, implementation standards and processes, and support phase activities scoping and documentation
  • Installs, maintains and manages documentation of desktop applications in perimeter
  • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
• Technical Support:
  • Provides technical support and troubleshoots issues related to installation/operation, and offers timely solutions to ensure the optimal performance
  • Manages changes and upgrades (major/minor) on the environments based on requirements and updates documentation and repositories accordingly, following change management procedures.
  • Analyzes and defines monitoring of critical components health and execution of schedules
  • Supports configured installations, diagnoses and fixes issues with middleware and other applicative components of applications
  • Investigates root causes and resolves problems in a structured approach, involving other teams if required
  • Desktop support (including Citrix VDIs)
• Regular, predictable attendance is required;
• Other duties may be assigned.
