Job summary

Seattle City Light is looking for three Engineering Aides to join our team at the South Service Center. These entry-level roles support Joint Use and Wood Pole Design, handling work orders, permits, and billing while performing drafting and field tasks as needed.

You will work under the Joint Use Supervisor, contributing to regulatory compliance and efficient engineering records. A strong eye for detail and problem-solving is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school math including trigonometry completed.
• Driver's license in Washington state or equivalent mobility.
• Ability to learn and use utility systems and drafting practices.

Responsibilities

• Issue and maintain work orders.
• Process Right Of Way (ROW) permit applications.
• Generate billing reports and assign invoices to work orders.
• Conduct site visits to support permitting and inspections.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Produce internal and external reports and metrics.
