Job summary

Germanna Community College seeks an Engineering Adjunct to teach courses in-person and online. The position supports summer and fall 2026, teaching up to 12 credits in fall/spring and up to 8 credits in summer, with compensation per credit hour.

This role requires a Master’s in Engineering with 18+ graduate hours, and the ability to teach using instructional technology. Adjuncts may be relocated within reasonable commuting distance to ensure attendance.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Engineering.
• Ability to effectively teach both in-person and online.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to use instructional technology.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to GCC and VCCS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain current competence in the discipline.
