Job summary

A community college in Michigan is seeking an Engineering Adjunct Instructor to teach introductory engineering courses including Careers in Engineering and Engineering Design & Analysis. This part-time position requires a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in education, understanding diverse student populations, and effective uses of online learning systems. We are seeking an Engineering Adjunct Instructor to teach introductory engineering courses in Careers in Engineering and Engineering Design & Analysis.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Understanding of and ability to work with a diverse student population
  • Use of email, internet-based resources, and common Office software
  • Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including incorporating online learning systems
  • Understanding of ADA requirements and willingness to create accessible materials
  • Effective interpersonal skills
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field: Manufacturing, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, other Engineering disciplines
  • 3 years minimum work experience in related field
Additional Experiences Considered
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field: other Engineering disciplines
  • Teaching experience at the community college level
