Job summary

Colorado Technical University (CTU) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student body across online and campus settings. Instructors prepare materials, align with curricula, hold weekly office hours, and assess student performance, while coordinating with program leadership.

The role requires a terminal degree in a relevant engineering field, teaching experience at the college level, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and respond promptly.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with standard office and mobile applications (word processing, presentations, email, calendaring, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging instructional materials aligned with CTU curricula.
• Teach assigned courses, including labs or hands-on work where applicable.
• Engage with students to foster participation and professionalism.
• Relate industry experience to CTU's Professional Learning Model.
• Maintain accessibility and timely communication with students and staff.
• Establish and maintain weekly office hours for support.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Document student activities and progress.
• Collaborate with Program Chair and Lead Faculty as needed.
• Refer students to academic and co-curricular resources.
• Participate in academic governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete required faculty certifications and trainings.
• Provide documentation of licenses, certifications, and professional experience.
