Job summary

Weekes Forest Products, Inc is seeking an Engineered Wood Material Handler to join our team. You will focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous process improvement while supporting our operations staff.

This role involves pulling inventory, cutting product to size, loading/unloading materials, and ensuring orders are accurate in a team-oriented environment. Prior forklift and chainsaw experience are valued, and outdoor duties apply in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Forklift qualification required.
• Experience with chainsaw.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Pull inventory and cut product to size per specifications.
• Package units for delivery to minimize damage.
• Ensure orders are 100% accurate.
• Load/unload trucks and rail cars of building materials.
• Help keep our yard clean, well-organized, and safe.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Utilize a chainsaw to cut material to size.
• Read and comprehend documents (policies and procedures); write routine reports.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions; handle a few concrete variables.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an Engineered Wood Material Handler, you will be responsible for keeping a high level of focus on safety while following procedures and policies that help to protect all our employee owners. Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Or experience and/or training working with building materials and hand power tools.
• Forklift Qualified.
• Experience using a chainsaw.
• Physical ability to work standing for extended periods of time and lifting of heavy materials.
