Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Texas seeks a Proposal & Bid Estimator to translate complex drawings and specs into data-driven, competitive offers. You will assemble estimates for steel pipe, concrete pressure pipe, fittings, and special products, grounding costs in design and fabrication realities.

Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Operations, you will identify missing scope, risks, and opportunities for value engineering, ensuring bids reflect buildable, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years estimating experience in pressure pipe or engineered manufacturing.
• Experience with cost drivers and risk assessment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble end-to-end estimates for pipes, fittings, and accessories.
• Analyze drawings, specs, bid docs, and contracts.
• Identify missing scope and risk early.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, operations.
