Engineer - Tier IV Level Support

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier IV Level support and assist with any issues that may arise in your area or on the projects you are working on.

Engineering & Design

• Read, interpret, review, and redline P&IDs, Electrical and Instrumentation Schematics.
• Participate in design review of all projects.
• Lead an automation (controls) focused PHA.
• Take complete ownership of Tagging, Symbols and References for all projects.
• Define key equipment design parameters such as design/operating pressure and design/operating temperature.
• Select hardware components and ensure instrumentation suitability for the selected parameters, ranges, alarm set points, and trip set points.
• Define control panel interfaces signals to/from main control room and field instruments, including hardwired and serial linked signals.
• Configure control loops between the instruments and equipment.
• Ensure project requirements, expectations, or operational points are within WIMS operating philosophies & standards.
• Authorize and ensure consistency between documents such as instrument index, control philosophy, programs, and C&E.
• Review P&IDs to check consistency with ESD philosophy.

PLC Programming

• Write logic for SCP and ESD PLCs, transmitters, devices, compressors, Scada packs, generators, vent fans, gas coolers, gas control, power monitor, air compressors, ESD, fire and gas detectors.
• Set up all devices and input IP addresses.
• Order and procure modules and devices for the project.
• Request IP address allocations from IT.
• Conduct gas control data tests, point-to-point and final data review.

HMI Automation

• Create screens and alarms for SCP and ESD PLCs, transmitters, devices, compressors, Scada packs, generators, vent fans, gas coolers, station control, daily reports, trending, ESD, fire, and gas.
• Order HMI machine for Wonderware.
• Order Wonderware license.

Fat Testing

• Travel and conduct factory acceptance tests of control buildings, control panels, and motor control centers.
• Maintain, test, verify cause and effect, and IO lists.

Commissioning

• Travel and commission the entire station controls and automation system.
• Test and commission every device tied into the control system as detailed in PLC Programming and HMI Automation.
• Test and commission Scada.

Experience

• 8-10 years of experience preferred.
• 5 years of experience minimum.
• Prior oil and gas experience required.
