Job summary

Katalyst-Healthcares- is seeking a highly skilled controls engineer based in Phoenix, AZ to lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex automation projects. You will design the control system architecture, electrical panels, and SLDs, while validating safety and compliance for new equipment installations.

You will support PLC/HMI programming, SCADA development, and integration of equipment into plant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with control system integration and commissioning.
• Design electrical panels and interpret P&IDs.
• Knowledge of safety validation and IQ/OQ documentation.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, OSHA, S88, PackML standards.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of control and automation projects.
• Design Control System Architecture (CSA).
• Design electrical and control panel layouts, control schematic drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM).
• Perform safety validation, safety mapping, IQ/OQ documentation, and validation for new equipment installations.
• Review vendor and engineering documents according to project requirements.
• Support PLC and HMI programming, including program development and modifications.
• Develop SCADA projects based on customer requirements.
• Integrate equipment and control systems into plant operations.
• Support existing systems and collaborate with operations, project, and engineering teams on new systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, design basis documents, cable schedules, device lists, and detailed engineering documents.
• Interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Perform yellow lining, IQ/OQ activities, and electrical circuit troubleshooting.
• Analyze historical data to identify causes of production losses and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and review User Requirement Documents (URD) and control study documents for PLC and HMI programming.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines, vendors, fabricators, and contractors for equipment installation.
• Deliver complex projects on time and within budget while complying with NEC, NFPA 79, OSHA, S88, and PackML standards.
