Actalent is seeking an Engineer Systems Test 2 for our Plymouth, MN facility. This on-site role focuses on developing and executing tests for state-of-the-art weaponry, overseeing test activities, and delivering comprehensive reports.

The candidate will conduct climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, and electromagnetic effects bench testing, ensuring safety with hazardous devices, and supporting failure analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MS Excel, Matlab, and SciPy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Join our dynamic Systems Test Engineering department as an Engineer Systems Test 2, where you'll engage in a range of exciting test activities for state-of-the-art weaponry. This on-site position is located at our facility in Plymouth, MN. Telecommuting is not available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans and coordinate with test facilities.
• Provide oversight during test executions and analyze test data.

• Conduct climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, and electromagnetic effects bench testing of electronic devices.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, Electromagnetic Effects (EME), and Insensitive Munitions (IM) Testing.
• Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and digital acquisition systems.
• Understanding of energetic testing components and materials.
• Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052, and JOTP-053.
• Experience using commercial and/or government test facilities for environmental, EME, or energetic test activities.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Work Environment

This role operates on a 9/80A work shift, starting between 7 or 8:30 am and ending at 4 or 5:30 pm. The position requires on-site presence at our Plymouth, MN facility. The work involves handling advanced testing instruments and ensuring safety in the presence of hazardous devices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
