- Provide solutions to technical problems of increasing complexity in electronics test electronics systems
- Support successful completion of ETES test programs on Ford and Nimitz Class Carriers
- Communicate with waterfront construction management, design engineering, test engineering, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA and Ship's Force
- Report overall status to the supervisor
- Review test issuance and completion status
- Update the Test Plan of the Day
- Provide system status and turnover
- Identify and recommend resolutions for system and programmatic issues
- Support E25 contract performance metrics including scheduling, budgeting and scoping
- Coordinate with functional supervisors, construction and Ship's Force to conduct testing safely
- Synthesize customer contractual needs into system test solutions within technical, schedule and cost constraints
- Develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules
- Coordinate integrated testing activities
- Review and evaluate test requirements for completeness
- Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare system-level evaluations
Requirements
- ABET Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience, or Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Secret Level Security Clearance; final clearance required to start
- Extensive test experience in Radar, Aviation, Video and Navigation Systems
- Project management experience in test development, test coordination, resource planning, budgeting and test scheduling
- Expertise in planning and scoping using Change Order Log database
- Ability to communicate and interface with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing skills for technical reports and final Engineering Reviews of test procedures
- Ability to evaluate problems and formulate recommended mitigating action plans
- Ability to ascend/descend vertical ladders spanning multiple decks, topside and within the ship
- Ability to go to sea during test trials
- Ability to work multiple shifts
- Knowledge of safety requirements and approved Ship Yard and NAVSEA procedures
