Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN

Job Description

The Engineer, Systems Expert will develop, maintain and support CHS’ complex hosted cloud SAP technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components. Ensure high availability within SAP systems by optimizing performance and ensuring smooth system operations. Perform upgrades of SAP software, kernel patches, and database upgrades. Manage migrations from legacy systems to newer versions (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA). Migrate BOBJ from Linux platforms to Windows. Manage databases related to SAP HANA including backups, restores, and performance optimization. Manage SAP transport system (CTS or CTS+) for the transportation of configuration changes and development objects across the SAP landscape. Set up, configure and manage SAP BTP environments, subaccounts, services, and third party systems. Develop hyperscalers within AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Provision and manage AWS EC2 instances for SAP applications, ensuring SAP systems scale automatically using AWS auto-scaler. Evaluates and recommends new hardware, software, tools and utilities within the SAP environment. Ensure proper configuration between PowerBI and Cloud Business Warehouse system, and SAP Analytical cloud to Cloud Business Warehouse System using Direct and Import method using Azure Active Directory. Identify existing and potential issues and design matters in overall system and solution architecture. Implement solutions to ensure that best practices and processes are followed and enhanced. Translate current and future customer requirements and develop relevant solutions. Telecommuting available anywhere in the United States. Annual salary between $127,712 - $167,400.

Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a SAP Consultant, Manager, or related. Must possess 5 years of experience with: (a) Single Sign on for BTP applications using SAP Identity Authentication Services; (b) Secure connectivity setup between SAP BTP / SAAS application with onpremise using Principal Propagation , Oath and certificate mechanisms; (c) SAP GUI MFA configuration using BTP for set of critical business users; (d) Configuration between PowerBI and Cloud Business Warehouse system; (e) Setup SAP Cloud Foundry runtime to support CAP application developments; (f) Setting up Change management tools and dev ops pipeline for all SAP BTP applications; (g) Strategizing and Implementing Operating System and Database migration through SAP HANA; (h) SAP installations, upgrades, migrations and production support ;(i) Sizing and architecture of SAP application server and database in both on-premises and cloud environments ; and (j) Administration of different SAP products like SAP ECC, S/4HANA , BW/4HANA ,CPI and PO on Linux and windows operating systems.
