Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Engineer Systems IV

  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience: 10 years with Master’s degree or 14 years with Bachelor’s degree of professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. Must have experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support. Notable experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and having experience being the task lead/manager. Experience includes Systems of Systems Engineering including but not limited to integration, testing and evaluation of COTS and GOTS products into existing SIGINT systems in accordance with DoD standards. Additionally, experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with familiarity in associated DoD and commercial standards.
  • TS/SCI level Clearance required.
Job Description

The scope of work covers systems engineering, technical, and management support services for the government and its associated acquisition, technology, logistics, and program management offices. Support is provided to multiple stakeholders responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of specialized operational capabilities. The scope of support includes program management, engineering analysis and design, configuration management, testing, quality control, sustainment, cybersecurity, training, and field service representative (FSR) support for a static collection capability that functions as a subsystem within a larger integrated system.

This is in support of the development, production, and sustainment of specialized intelligence capabilities. Configuration management and associated systems engineering activities are conducted through a collaborative effort among multiple government and partner organizations to ensure interoperability, performance, and lifecycle support.

A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systems analyst, a network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web. The systems engineer is responsible to integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.

Duties of a systems engineer typically include managing the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and web application, including: specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face.

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
