Naval Nuclear Laboratory in Idaho Falls is seeking an experienced Engineer to support the Shipping Containers Conversions unit. You will develop deep technical knowledge on equipment, systems and requirements, acting as a subject matter expert to move projects forward safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 1 year; or currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
• Experience with product line support and fabrication processes preferred.
• Current or former ERW/LERW qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for ongoing projects within the Shipping Containers Conversions unit.
• Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of equipment, systems, and requirements involved in conversion work.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to ensure projects move forward safely, efficiently and with technical excellence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tackle complex engineering challenges and drive innovation.

Our Shipping Containers Conversions unit is seeking a driven and experienced Engineer to play a key role in advancing our product work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that supports highly specialized engineering activities central to the mission of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Pay Range

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
