America Networks is a leading sensor and networking solutions partner for companies in any Industrial, Manufacturing, and Waste management space.
We design and manufacture sensors for storage tanks, water metering, energy metering, gas monitoring, and asset management.

Our founders are hardcore telecommunications engineers with combined 200 + years of experience in designing, optimizing and performance engineering for several mid – large wireless carriers internationally - that saw a need to provide low power, cost efficient sensors to collect data, create alerts, and predict needed actions. We have combined these sensors with low power, wide area (LPWA) networking technologies to provide clients various options to decrease re-occurring costs associated with operating an IoT network of sensors and connected devices.

We specialize in design, deployment, optimization, and support of these Networks. Whether an off-the-shelf or custom solution is needed, we’ll create a solution and push the data on the best cloud platform to fit your needs, including your own.

Job Description

One for Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) office and one for Weldon Springs, MO (Saint Louis)

Responsible for contributing in the RF Design of the regional LTE network. Responsibilities include:

1. Creating search areas within their geographic area of responsibility;
2. Working with the performance team to understand area and issues within his/her sector;
3. Working with System Performance counterpart to understand issues and help reduce Lost Calls and Ineffective Attempts within their sector;
4. Creating and supplying cell site translations;
5. Performing drive testing to evaluate search area candidate as necessary;
6. Preparing FCC/FAA and FAS submissions in a timely manner;
7. Performing radio engineering evaluation for system planning and site acquisition;
8. Beginning to identify location specific needs for new cells taking baseline, performance, capacity, and population into consideration;
9. Evaluating coverage problems and requirements for coverage cells.

Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry. General understanding and or working knowledge of the following:

1. RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology;
2. Design & Optimization of Ericsson LTE/VoLTE platform;
3. Propagation modeling software such as Atoll, iBwave, etc.;
4. Computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, MapInfo, MySQL.

Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field. 3 to 7 years of experience. Programming background is a plus.
