The Engineer, Research is responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of central plant systems across a portfolio consisting of off-campus research laboratories and support buildings. This includes rooftop units, fans, boilers, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and associated support equipment such as air compressors, condensate systems, and enthalpy wheels. The role also involves troubleshooting and repairing rooftop heating and air-conditioning equipment, including refrigerant systems, components, low-voltage control systems, and electrical systems. Additionally, the Engineer, Research will perform general and advanced maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and operations, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency throughout the assigned facilities.
