Our team is responsible for driving quality products throughout the organization by maintaining a corporate culture that emphasizes accountability, drive, and attention to detail at all levels. This position requires a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership; and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems. In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support Test and Flight ground systems. As needed, measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals, integrate quality system applications between engineering, project management, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with diverse teams, lead causal analysis activities to drive to root cause and corrective action. In addition, you will perform reviews and approve fabrication build documents including work orders and nonconformance records. You will perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100, recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality, and provide quality assurance subject matter expertise to inspection, fabrication, and test. Periodically, you will interface with internal and external customers on quality related concerns and develop training materials to build quality awareness. In this role you will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Quality Engineers, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing, testing, and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin’s Vision.
