Blue Origin is seeking a Specialist - Quality II for the Space Coast in Florida. The role focuses on ensuring quality across materials, components, and finished products through inspections, audits, and documentation control.

Responsibilities include leading root-cause analysis, authoring FAI reports, and mentoring production teams on standards and practices. The position requires problem-solving passion and shift flexibility in a safety-conscious aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering/technical field with 1–2+ years quality experience, or 3+ years directly relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes.
• Hands‑on experience with dimensional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages).
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and related quality programs.
• Excellent communication skills, organized, attention to detail, and self‑starter.
• Ability to support integration schedules and overtime as needed.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident or eligible status.

• Provide quality guidance and training to production teams on requirements, workmanship standards, and documentation practices.
• Review and approve manufacturing/assembly documentation, travelers, and as-built records for completeness and traceability.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality concerns; develop and present training materials.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Special Mentions: Relocation provided Shifts available: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience with nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes
• Hands‑on experience with dimensional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages)
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs
• Excellent communication skills, organized, attention to detail, and self-starter
• Ability to support integration schedules and overtime on as needed basis
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired

• American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
• Experience in aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation highly preferred
• Experience with IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum)
• Experience with IPC 620 standard (IPC-WHMA-A-620)
• Experience with quality tools such as lean principles, root cause analysis, and corrective action
• Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem solving approaches
• Quality Management System audit experience
• Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
• Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
