Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Pennsylvania seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large capital programs in pharma manufacturing from concept to qualification. You will direct cross-functional teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety/compliance processes, and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to deliver value.

The role requires 5+ years delivering capital projects, willingness to relocate/travel, and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (or related to project management).
  • 5+ years' experience delivering capital projects in industrial/manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
  • U.S. work authorization required; no visa/work authorization sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to deliver large programs ($50M+ capital assets) and/or a workstream/node of larger programs ($200M+).
  • Deliver from front-end planning (conceptual design) through operational qualification (cradle to grave).
  • Interface/Communication: work remotely from a regional distance while maintaining effective communication with leadership, project teams, governance, business partners, and stakeholders; resolve issues and anticipate scope changes; implement safely with quality, speed, and value.
  • Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured approach to project management aligned to Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain project safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance with safety/environment policies, procedures, and work rules from conceptual design through operational verification.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
  • Project Management: Lead teams to deliver large programs ($50M+ capital assets) and/or a workstream/node of larger programs ($200M+). Deliver from front-end planning (conceptual design) through operational qualification (cradle to grave), in Brownfield or Greenfield sites; ensure safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Interface/Communication: Work remotely from a regional distance while maintaining effective communication with leadership, project teams, governance, business partners, and stakeholders; resolve issues and anticipate scope changes; implement safely with quality, speed, and value.
  • Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured approach to project management aligned to Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain project safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance with safety/environment policies, procedures, and work rules from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
  • BS in Engineering (or related to project management).
  • 5+ years' experience delivering capital projects in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
  • U.S. work authorization required; no visa/work authorization sponsorship.
Additional Preferences
  • Experience on projects >$10M; greenfield projects; pharma manufacturing (e.g., bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, devices).
  • Knowledge of GMP, LEAN, automation, construction/construction quality, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, scheduling.
  • Ability to influence through people; work with little supervision; strong judgment; written/verbal communication.
  • PE (or equivalent), PMP, foreign language(s), experience living/working outside the U.S.; continuous improvement mindset.

  • Travel required; full relocation to posting location for project duration; onsite role (not remote).
