Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. seeks an FAE Engineer to support development and implementation of new model preparation at NAMC sites. Reports to the FAE Manager to ensure safety, quality and efficient automation in assembly.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 1+ year in automotive assembly or production engineering, and up to 20% travel. Ability to work overtime as needed and lead equipment projects from concept to launch.

Toyota's Final Assembly Production Engineering (FAE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated FAE Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to support in development and implementation of new model preparation at Toyota's North America Manufacturing Center (NAMC) sites. Reporting to the FAE Manager, the person in this role will support the FAE objective to make Vehicle Manufacturing equipment best-in-industry for human safety, highest quality, and most efficient utilization of automation technology for non-value-added work reduction.
(50%) Project Planning with Plant teams and Final Assembly team for upcoming model change (30%) Evaluating Model change impact to vehicle processes and developing technical equipment change requirements (10%) Development of new technologies and vendor base for PE (Production Engineering) and Manufacturing industry competitiveness improvement within Assembly (10%) Leading equipment projects from concept to launch for Equipment and Automation technology to Assembly across the NAMCs Close collaboration and relationship building with internal and external groups across Toyota including TMNA Final Assembly Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC's Pilot team, Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering regional teams, PEPD, and others
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering or technical degree or equivalent work experience 1 or more years of experience in automotive Assembly Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar Ability to travel up to 20% to all North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs) as well as Japan for TMC sites and equipment makers Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required (including some weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods) Added bonus if you have Training and experience creating and interpreting equipment drawings from concepts to production Vehicle model change experience Experience managing a project through Operating Procedures (OPs)
