Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking a Process Engineer II at the MC Plant in Carrollton, GA. The role focuses on developing, standardizing, and improving processes and products to boost efficiency and quality.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply Lean/Six Sigma, and scale new processes while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across production lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • 2-4 years of engineering experience.
  • Field of Expertise: Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Adheres to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Diagnoses and resolves process-related problems to minimize downtime.
  • Applies Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Creates SOPs, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration.
  • Assists in scaling up and validating processes for new products or technologies.
  • Ensure machinery and tools operate within specified parameters for optimal output.
  • Provide guidance and training on process changes.

Job Summary

The Process Engineer II is responsible for the development, standardization, quality, and continuous improvement of processes and products. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of production processes, implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, introduction of new products, and to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing or production processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Adheres to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all process operations.
  • Diagnoses and resolves process-related problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Applies Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Creates and maintains process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
  • Works with design, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure seamless process integration.
  • Assists in scaling up and validating processes for new products or technologies.
  • Ensure machinery and tools operate within specified parameters for optimal output.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers, hourly team members, and other staff on process changes or best practices.
  • Collaborates with IT and engineering teams to integrate digital tools
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Licenses/Certificates: Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt

Years of Experience: 2-4 years

Field of Expertise: Engineering

Preferred Education & Experience

Licenses/Certificates: Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt

Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
