Engineer, Process

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for improving site performance through the implementation of Improve Plant generated small and large capital projects that are managed according to dsm‑firmenich Project Management Process (CER), Track‑Wise (MOC), and overall Best Engineering Practices including improvement in process reliability and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs all work in alignment with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), Quality behaviors and standards and also adheres to the Arcadia Code of Conduct.
- Manage Capital and Improvement Plant (IP) projects from concept through implementation, including funding approval, design, construction, contractor management and startup.
- Leads and/or assists other leaders in implementing approved plant improvement projects in accordance with Improve Plant work processes and provides monitoring on the effects of the changes.
- Collect, monitor and control process data to ensure operational parameters are within spec and adjustments are performed as needed.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during production, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
- Create and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) while participating in Process Safety Analysis (PSA), Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Lead projects such that objectives and milestones are met, within agreed budget and timing, using the project management and Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline. Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical engineering degree preferred.
- 3 – 5 years as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a GMP/food environment is desirable but not required.
- Experience with project management desired.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm‑firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay will be based on the applicant’s job‑related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary range: $66,000 – $93,800.
