Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Medford, Wisconsin, seeks a Process Engineer to support continuous improvement across production processes and equipment in our lumber/millwork operations. This full-time, on-site role collaborates with production, product development, customer service, and sales.

Responsibilities include process information improvements, cross-facility integration, lean applications, layout design, material handling, and equipment specification.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, or related).
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred (fenestration industry a plus).
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a plus.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Process Engineer to work collaboratively with our manufacturing facility in Medford, Wisconsin. This position requires working in a team environment involving production, product development, customer service, and sales personnel. This position is not remote and will require living in the commutable Medford area.

About The Position

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement efforts and new product development with regard to production processes and equipment, including:
  • Process information improvements
  • Integration of processes across multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Lean manufacturing applications
  • Layout design
  • Material handling improvements
  • Assist with specification of production equipment
• Work with design engineering and production to establish/improve methods and systems regarding window and door manufacturing
• Provide additional support as required

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, or related)
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing discipline with preference given for experience in the fenestration industry
• Strong project management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD a plus

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $70,000 and $115,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
