Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Engineer Systems Architect / Principal Engineer Systems Architect to join our diverse Systems Engineering team in Melbourne, FL. This role may be filled at either level, depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop system architectures, defining key capabilities and performance requirements.
  • Develop design and technology maturity constraints aligned with customer specifications.
  • Define system external interfaces and operational concepts to ensure requirements are met.
  • Evaluate system performance with customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing system architectures.
  • Develop architecture, CONOPS, and use cases using model-based systems engineering methodologies.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
  • Conduct system requirements analysis.
  • Develop automation workflows supporting engineering and business processes.

Basic Qualifications
For Engineer Systems Architect:
  • Bachelor's in STEM and 2 years of related experience, or Master's in STEM with no experience, or Ph.D. in STEM with no experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a final adjudicated government Secret clearance.
  • Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite and model-based systems engineering using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
For Principal Engineer Systems Architect:
  • Bachelor's in STEM and 5 years of related experience, or Master's in STEM with 3 years, or Ph.D. in STEM with 1 year.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a final adjudicated government Secret clearance.
  • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and SysML.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degrees in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or Software Engineering with experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in military aerospace development and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with software development and tool administration.
  • Experience in Digital Ecosystem design.
Salary Range

$77,200.00 - $115,800.00 or $95,300.00 - $142,900.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional benefits include bonuses, health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
