Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned CEMAT program lead to coordinate carrier availabilities and related shipyard activities. You will engage with senior military leadership, COMNAVAIRPAC representatives, and CEMAT management to craft updates and action plans, ensuring seamless integration of contractor work and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring outages, communicating evolutions, and mitigating schedule impacts while ensuring compliance with Navy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience or a Master’s with relevant experience.
• Ten years of leadership experience desired or demonstrated track record.
• Familiarity with JFMM and NAVSEA Standard Items is required.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing shipboard auxiliary systems equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance and CAC/base/ship access.

• Monitors CEMAT work areas for safety, compliance with procedures and Navy/local standards.
• May perform duties as WAF/Tagout Coordinator.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Attends essential meetings that support CEMAT tasking during ship’s availabilities, including Ship’s morning production meetings, support services request meetings, Key Event readiness meetings, CEMAT production meetings, and others.
• Communicates with senior military leadership, COMNAVAIRPAC Representatives, Shipyard Management, and CEMAT Management, providing updates and plans of action for Carrier Availabilities.
• Updates and communicates CEMAT daily work progress and resolves task integration issues related to shipyard and other contractor work.
• Monitors and provides input for ship outages that affect CEMAT tasking, offering mitigation recommendations to ensure customer schedules are met.
• Informs the CEMAT Team and Managers of ship’s scheduled evolutions such as drills, fueling/defueling, hot/cold work areas, etc., which may involve potential priority shifts.
• Monitors CEMAT work areas for safety, procedural compliance, and adherence to Navy/local Standard Items.
• May perform duties as WAF/Tagout Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; four years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent with ten years of relevant experience.
• At least ten years of experience leading teams or managing personnel.
• Familiarity with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and NAVSEA Standard Items.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing shipboard auxiliary systems equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC, base, and ship access.
