Job summary

StepStone Hospitality seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and complete repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will help ensure hotel systems run reliably and safely for guests and team members.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, can respond promptly to maintenance requests, and communicates clearly with guests and staff.

In this role, the Engineer will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This position requires a proactive, hands-on professional who takes pride in ensuring all hotel systems operate efficiently while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general maintenance practices, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational needs.

• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Tend, air conditioners, cooling towers and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
