Sonesta International Hotels in Los Angeles is seeking an Engineer to perform general maintenance across the hotel's physical plant, ensuring safety standards and quality are met. The role involves repairing and maintaining building systems, equipment, and grounds.

You will execute preventive maintenance, read blueprints and wiring diagrams, test readings, and keep detailed maintenance records while complying with local codes.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with local, state, and Federal codes.
• Ability to test and repair pool equipment.

Responsabilités

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning systems and replace components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical equipment.
• Take readings on equipment and test cooling towers.
• Repair and program hotel electronic locks and TVs as needed.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as required.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with codes.

What this role is all about

TheEngineer performs general maintenance work to ensure hotel physical plant quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained. The Engineer takes care of the building, equipment and grounds of the hotel. This position will perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.

What you'll be doing

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.

• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e., boilers, chillers, HVAC-Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, electrical, etc.).

• Take required readings on equipment.

• Test cooling tower and record readings.

• Replace and program televisions as needed.

• Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures.

• Perform furniture repair.

• Replace and repair pumps.

• Perform plumbing repairs (i.e., clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc.).

• Understand and be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

• Trace and repair all types of water lines.

• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.

• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.

• Perform and maintain work to local, state, and Federal codes.

• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.

• Paint designated areas.

• Repair and finish sheetrock.

• Repair all types of wall coverings.

• Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Pay ranges from $28.80 to $32. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific experience/overall experience.
