Job summary

Abacus is seeking a versatile IT professional to unify newly acquired companies into its Microsoft cloud ecosystem. You will lead tenant migrations, move identities (SSO), and consolidate file storage while ensuring minimal downtime and strong data integrity.

The role requires deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization, with flexibility for evening/weekend windows during migration periods. You’ll collaborate with a growing team to deliver seamless Day 1 readiness and ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations in Microsoft 365/Exchange environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud ecosystems, identity tools, and migration workflows.
• Ability to work East Coast hours with some nights and weekends during migration windows.

Responsibilities

• Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations, consolidating mailboxes, groups, and Teams.
• Migrate SharePoint sites and OneDrive storage into central structures.
• Ensure data integrity, permissions, and access controls are preserved.
• Support migration-related day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.

Unifying newly acquired companies into the core Abacus technical environment. You’ll handle the technical heavy lifting—migrating Microsoft 365 tenants, moving identities (SSO), consolidating file storage, and merging communication tools. As part of a newly forming team, your initial focus will span both M&A execution and foundational platform engineering. This will involve supporting the Abacus hosted services, endpoint environments, and end‑user experience. Focuses on automation, standardization, security posture. This will be temporarily as these services transition toanother team. Once fully established, your focus will center on unifying newly acquired companies intothe Abacus environment: migrating Microsoft 365 tenants, moving identities (SSO), consolidating file storage, and merging communication tools. Equally important to the technical execution is clear, proactive communication. A smooth migration depends on preparing incoming teams for what’s changing, setting expectations, and guiding them through Day 1. We don't expect you to be a deep subject matter expert in every single technology on day one. What we do need is a versatile engineer with strong foundational knowledge of modern Microsoft cloud ecosystems, identity tools, and migration workflows who enjoys solving practical IT integration problems. As M&A cutovers must take place with minimal downtime to business operations, this role does require some flexibility in working hours, including scheduled evening and weekend work during migration windows. Flexible time off during standard working hours will be coordinated in return.
