Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to operations via PLCs, vision systems, robots, servers, and HMIs.
  • Lead or participate in small code or program changes for control systems.
  • Plan and execute medium change-control projects with design and validation.
  • Qualify new equipment/controls and support tests for engineering standards.
  • Support cross-functional reviews for machine requirements and specs.
  • Train Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Address quality, technical, and manufacturing issues via CAPA/NCRs.
  • Collaborate with safety, quality, and operations to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to operations by participating in troubleshooting activities for PLC, Vision Systems, Robots, Servers, and HMI’s
  • Lead or participate in small code or program modifications for assigned control systems.
  • Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.
  • Plans and execute moderately complex qualifications of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.
  • Identifies and implements standard methodologies of project management.
  • Participate in technical design reviews for machine requirements and manufacturing/product specifications.
  • Provides training and support to Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR’s, CAPA’s, etc).
  • Utilizes cross functional collaboration with safety, quality, and operations to meet business objectives. Serves as a change agent by creating a learning culture and experimental mindset within the department and organization to improve business performance.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science
Experience and Skills
  • 2 to 4 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Ability to work in an empowered work team environment is required.
  • Ability to write simple code modifications for industrial control systems with minimal supervision.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems, such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
  • Proficient in applications including FactoryTalk, Wonderware, AB Studio 5000, Power BI, and Ignition.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Python, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.
  • Experience in programming and configuring motion devices, including servos and robotic arms.
  • Proficient in creating and configuring inspection jobs for machine vision systems used in industrial settings.
  • Background in supporting manufacturing operations with a focus on industrial controls and software.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics effectively.Experience working with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off the shelf and custom designed components.
  • Experience working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.
