Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Medford, Wisconsin, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with our production teams on process improvements and new product development. This on-site role requires living within commuting distance of Medford.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree with 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with window and door production. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, or related).
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing discipline.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Technical/mechanical abilities and understanding of window and door production a plus.

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement efforts and new product development with regard to production processes and equipment.
• Coordinate production equipment installation, modification, etc., and assist with problem solving.
• Integration of processes across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Design and acquisition of fixtures, jigs, and tooling.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Manufacturing Engineer to work collaboratively with our manufacturing facility in Medford, Wisconsin. This position requires working in a team environment involving production, product development, customer service, and sales personnel. This position is not remote and will require living in the commutable Medford area.

About The Position

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement efforts and new product development with regard to production processes and equipment, including:
  • Specify production equipment
  • Coordinate production equipment installation, modification, etc., and assist with problem solving
  • Integration of processes across multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Design and acquisition of fixtures, jigs, and tooling
  • Material handling improvements
• Work with design engineering and production to establish/improve methods and systems regarding window and door manufacturing
• Provide additional support as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing discipline with preference given for experience in the fenestration industry
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $70,000 and $115,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
