Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an Equipment & Automation Engineer II for a 1-year, onsite role in Madison, WI. You will support manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and new equipment launches in a regulated production environment.

Responsibilities include creating SolidWorks designs, drawings, BOMs, and supporting prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and supplier coordination. Experience in FDA/ISO environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems, prototypes, or mechanical assemblies.
• SolidWorks design experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment is required.
• Experience creating SolidWorks drawings, assemblies, and BOMs is required.
• Experience with root cause analysis and failure investigations is required.
• Experience working in FDA, GMP, ISO, CAP, or CLIA environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and new equipment launches in a regulated production environment.
• Create SolidWorks designs, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for new and existing equipment.
• Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers for prototype parts, quotations, and design changes across the product lifecycle.
• Assist with manufacturing and quality documentation in compliance with FDA and ISO requirements, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking an Equipment & Automation Engineer II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Madison, WI 53719.

Job Details:

• Pay: $42.00-45.00/hour to Start!!
• 1-year contract assignment. 100% Onsite.
• Position will be mainly responsible for supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and new equipment launches within a regulated production environment.
• Position will be responsible for creating SolidWorks designs, detailed drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing equipment.
• Position will be responsible for supporting prototype development, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair activities, and equipment improvements.
• Position will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to obtain prototype parts, support quotations, and manage design changes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Position will be responsible for supporting manufacturing and quality documentation in compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, CAP, and CLIA requirements.
• Position will be responsible for performing root cause analysis, failure investigations, and continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
• Position will be responsible for collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and external vendors to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience is Required!
  • OR associate's degree in engineering, Technology, Electronics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience is Required!
• Professional SolidWorks design experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is Required!
• Experience creating SolidWorks drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) is Required!
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems, prototypes, or mechanical assemblies is Required!
• Experience troubleshooting equipment, performing failure analysis, and supporting root cause investigations is Required!
• 2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, medical device, or life sciences environments is Preferred!
• Experience working in FDA, GMP, ISO, CAP, or CLIA regulated environments is Preferred!
• Experience supporting PLM systems, product lifecycle management, and engineering documentation is Preferred!
• Experience with GD&T, drawing tolerances, and manufacturing documentation is Preferred!
• Experience leading process improvement and equipment improvement projects is Preferred!
