Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Kenosha, WI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support high-performance doors on site. You will plan and optimize production, troubleshoot equipment, revise process sheets, and coordinate launches for new products and processes.

A hands-on role with CAD (SolidWorks) and Lean methods is required. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in manufacturing engineering, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and a willingness to work onsite in Kenosha.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Systems Engineering.
  • 3–5+ years in engineering with manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Experience with complex production machinery and CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cost.
  • Troubleshoot operations, revise drawings and process sheets, and train operators.
  • Evaluate existing processes and plan layouts for improved flow and automation.
  • Coordinate launches for new or revised products, processes, and equipment.

# Engineer, ManufacturingManufacturing Engineer needed on-site in Kenosha, WI to support high performance doors.Essential Job Functions* Manages plans, directs, coordinates optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes* Ensures processes and operations function efficiently, safely and effectively* Troubleshoots operations, revises drawing and process sheets, verifies conformance, trains operators* Evaluation of existing processes to improve process flow* Researching automation techniques, testing new systems and planning layouts for optimization* Coordinates launch for new, revised products, processes and equipment* Follows Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing principlesWhat we are looking for:* Bachelors’ degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical/engineering field. Masters Degree a plus.* 3-5+ years of related experience, preferable in engineering* 1-3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly processes preferred* Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting, maintaining complex production machinery* Significant "hands on the product" experience with ability to recognize problems, predict potential outcomes and implement countermeasures quickly to avoid problems* Knowledge and use of CAD software (SolidWorks is desirable)4Front Engineered Solutions is a leader in the door and docking industry.
