This Bridge Design Unit is responsible for completing the design and plan development for emergency bridge repairs based on inspection findings and assignments by the Bridge Request for Action (RFA) Committee.
The position serves as a first-line professional manager overseeing a team of engineers and technicians in a complex work environment. Responsibilities include supervision, administration, professional development, quality assurance/quality control, and the design and preparation of contract plans and specifications for highway bridges, railroad bridges, pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and related structures. The role also supports section, bureau, and MDOT objectives as assigned. A Professional Engineer registration is required for this position.
The salary listed reflects the range from the minimum to the maximum rate of the Engineer Manager Licensed 14 position.
