Qualifications

• Two years proven maintenance technician experience or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Repair equipment and systems in casino buildings and outdoor areas.
• Read meters and gauges to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately.
• Coordinate with outside contractors on larger projects as needed.

DescriptionJob Description SummaryGeneral maintenance of casino indoor and outdoor premises. Works with all departments on an as needed basis. Also works along with all Engineering personnel.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Maintains operating condition of casino buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs.Uses knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing.Responsible for timely repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, chillers and any other pieces of equipment that would need service.Responsible for reading meters, gauges and other testing instruments accurately and effectively in order to detect and identify problems and the appropriate paths for repairs.Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of all repairs and preventive maintenance reports.Performs departmental technical projects which will include, but not limited to, electrical and mechanical equipment repair. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Must be able to work in a “lighting subdued” environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weatherTypically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
