Job summary

Raymond James is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to architect and secure authentication across hybrid cloud/on-prem environments. You’ll lead SSO and CIAM initiatives, guiding developers to integrate secure authentication flows for portals, mobile apps, and APIs.

With 3+ years in IT security focused on IAM/CIAM, you’ll manage platforms like Ping Identity and CyberArk, ensuring high availability in regulated settings while mentoring teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT Security experience with IAM/CIAM focus.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and token lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux authentication, Active Directory, and LDAP.

This position follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week at one of our Corporate Office locations of Saint Petersburg, FL; Memphis, TN; or Southfield, MI.

What You’ll Own

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in IT Security, with deep expertise in IAM and CIAM technologies.


• Advanced hands-on experience with authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and token lifecycle management.


• Strong understanding of Windows/Linux authentication, Active Directory, and LDAP.


• Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace for event analysis and system monitoring.


• Proven ability to lead IAM transformation initiatives and mentor cross-functional teams.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience.


• Certifications in IAM, IT Security, or related technologies are a plus.


• Comfortable working in high-impact, fast-paced environments with rotating on-call responsibilities.
