Job summary

Dexter Laundry, Inc. in Fairfield, Iowa, seeks ambitious engineering interns to design, test, and improve smart, connected commercial laundry equipment. You’ll work with experienced engineers on real-world product development from day one.

You’ll gain exposure to manufacturing, automation, IoT systems, embedded controls, data analytics, and quality engineering, with mentorship and hands-on projects that impact customers worldwide. This is a true, hands-on internship, not a watch-and-learn role.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
• Hands-on engineering work in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; CAD experience a plus).
• Clear communication and willingness to collaborate.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Dexter Laundry is looking for ambitious, curious, and hands‑on engineering students who want to jump into real‑world product development. As an Engineering Intern, you’ll work directly with experienced engineers to design, test, and improve the next generation of smart, connected commercial laundry equipment. You’ll gain exposure to new product development, manufacturing engineering, automation, IoT systems, robotics, embedded controls, data analytics, and quality engineering—all while contributing to meaningful projects that impact customers around the world.

This is not a “sit and watch” internship. You’ll be building, testing, analyzing, coding, designing, and problem‑solving from day one.

(Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Computer Science, Software, AI, or related discipline)

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
