Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Company, seeks an Environmental Engineer Intern to support the Environmental and Sustainability Function and take on project assignments assisting engineers or operations in the success of the team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Work on sustainability and environmental projects and initiatives.
• Assist environmental team with various tasks and projects.
• Support environmental compliance tasks and studies as needed.
• Provide technical environmental sustainability and compliance services to operations.
• Assist management and staff on compliance, permitting, sustainability and reporting.
• Research, analyze and prepare information including permit apps and regulations.
• Maintain air emission inventories.
• Prepare environmental reports and disclosures.
• Compile Environmental KPIs such as waste, recycling, and energy.
• Review SDSs and update in SDS system.
• Upgrade Environmental and Green Team SharePoint sites.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Work on special sustainability and environmental projects and initiatives
• Assist the environmental team with;
• Involvement with various environmental compliance tasks and projects.
• Providing technical environmental sustainability and compliance services to operations.
• Providing technical assistance to management, employees, and others on matters regarding compliance, permitting, sustainability, and reporting.
• Researching, analyzing, and/or preparing information including but not limited to:
• Permit applications
• Governmental rules, regulations, codes, and standards

• ii. Air emission inventories
• iii. Environmental reports and disclosures

• Assist in compiling and preparing Environmental Key Performance Metrics such as; waste, recycling and energy.
• Review SDSs and update as needed in the SDS system and other environmental management systems.
• Upgrade Environmental and Green Team SharePoint Sites

Minimum Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or other related environmental field for entire duration of internship

Standout Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience in extracurricular activities outside academic requirements
• Relevant coursework

Pay Range

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
