Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. in Denver, Colorado is seeking an entry level Engineer to work on bridge and ancillary structural inspections.

This role offers hands-on project ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration with experienced professionals to preserve critical infrastructure. Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 0–4 years of experience, and the ability to obtain Engineer-In-Training within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university plus appropriate continuing education.
• 0-4 years of experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspection/fieldwork of bridges and transportation structures that does not require previous experience.
• Reviews and interprets plans and design drawings.
• Documents findings and assists in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
• Supports the development of recommendations for maintenance or repairs.
• Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
• Collaborates with senior engineers/technicians on inspections.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare project deliverables.
• Engages in limited travel for on-site inspections as required.
• Is active in technical societies.
• Is able to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
• Communicates effectively with engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
• Participates in training programs to enhance inspection skills.
• Relocation is available
