J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Pocatello, Idaho is seeking a Project Designer (Engineer-in-Training) to join our water resources and municipal projects team.

You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams and clients to deliver master planning, hydraulic modeling, and design of pipelines and facilities. The role requires an engineering degree and EIT certification, with 0–4 years of civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering.
• EIT certification (passed FE exam) required.
• 0–4 years civil engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams for water resources and municipal projects.
• Develop business by building client relationships and assisting with proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, operators, regulators, funding agencies, and contractors on requirements.
• Attend client meetings and participate in public meetings to discuss project details.

While applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills, this engineering position will:

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams in the planning, design, and construction of a wide variety of water resources and municipal projects. Project examples include master planning, hydraulic modeling, and design of pipelines, canals, pump stations, hydraulic structures, wells, small dams, storage ponds, sewers, roadways, and miscellaneous city projects.
• Develop business by building relationships with clients and assisting with preparation of proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, operators, regulatory agencies, funding agencies, and contractors on project requirements and deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and participate in public meetings or open houses to discuss project details and inform the public.
• Perform periodic fieldwork including construction observation, monitoring equipment installation, and project reconnaissance.
• Coordinate with other staff assigned to projects including PE’s, EI’s, drafters, funding team, and construction observers.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering.
• Engineering Intern (E.I.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam) required.
• 0-4 years of civil engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Salary Range: $72,000 – $90,000 yearly, determined by experience
