WOW! Internet Cable and Phone is seeking an Engineer III to architect, implement, and operate Linux-based virtualization infrastructure across multiple data centers in the United States.

You’ll design, deploy, and run scalable environments while improving reliability and capacity planning. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of Linux engineering experience, strong networking and SAN knowledge, and hands-on virtualization with VMware, Proxmox, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Linux Systems Engineer.
• Expertise with Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Strong networking fundamentals and SANs knowledge.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Proxmox, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS (not required).

• Build and modernize infrastructure across data center sites and upgrade compute, storage and software environments.
• Research, design, integrate, configure, and maintain systems to meet business needs.
• Manage multiple virtualization clusters and plan current and future capacity.
• Support high availability, fault tolerance, DR, and monitoring with actionable alerts.
• Maintain Fibre Channel, VXLAN, and NAS solutions.
• Collaborate with Networking and Security teams and mentor colleagues.
• Maintain lab environments and test new hardware/software for future tech decisions.
